Thomas graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2008 with a first-class honours BSc in Biochemistry. He completed basic surgical training in Nottingham and Birmingham, then specialised in urology in the West Midlands, earning FRCS (Urol) in 2016. Further training in functional urology and incontinence took him to Sydney, Australia. Returning to the UK, he became a consultant urological surgeon at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust in 2019. Mr King focuses on bladder and lower urinary tract dysfunction in both genders, providing a regional referral service for male incontinence. He offers various treatments, including artificial urinary sphincter implantation, to improve quality of life.
