Rob Stevenson graduated from Leicester-Warwick Medical School in 2005, later becoming a General Medicine practitioner in 2008. His journey led to a Fellowship in Clinical Oncology in 2013, with training in the West Midlands. Specialising in Uro-oncology and lung cancer, he joined Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, as a Consultant Clinical Oncologist in 2014. Rob pioneered Stereotactic Radiotherapy for early-stage lung cancer and concurrent radiotherapy for stage 3 lung cancer. A GMC-accredited trainer, he teaches at the University of Birmingham and conducts research, leading national clinical trials. He was the Radiotherapy lead for the West Midlands between 2019 and 2024 and, is currently the lung cancer lead for University Hospitals Birmingham.

Research & Publications

After completing his Senior House Officer training Mr Simon Radley undertook a period of research into colorectal cancer and submitted a thesis for which he was awarded an MD by the University of Birmingham.

He has published widely on colorectal disease and in particular functional bowel disorders. He has written several book chapters.
