Mr Keval Patel is a highly skilled Consultant Urologist with a focus on robotic surgery of the pelvis.

Mr Patel completed his medical degree at Imperial College, London. He continued his academic and clinical training through a higher training program at the University of Cambridge and various hospitals in East Anglia. His dedication to the field of urology led him to complete specialised training in General Urology.

To further his expertise, Mr Patel underwent robotic fellowship training at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge.  During this fellowship, he honed his ability to investigate and treat complex prostate cancer-related issues, mastering the use of robotic surgical techniques.

Throughout his career, Mr Patel has been actively involved in research, contributing significantly to the understanding and treatment of prostate and bladder cancer.  His research endeavours have resulted in publications and presentations at international conferences.  In recognition of his work, he has been invited to lecture as part of postgraduate courses, sharing his knowledge with fellow medical professionals.

Mr Patel’s dedication to advancing urological care is also evident in his success in securing charitable funding for his research projects, amounting to over £250,000.  His clinical interests cover a wide range of urological issues, including prostate cancer, bladder cancer, testicular lumps, urine flow problems, lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTs), recurrent urine infections (UTI), blood in the urine (haematuria), and blood in the sperm (haematospermia).

As a Consultant Urologist and Honorary Senior Research Fellow, Mr Keval Patel provides expert care and advances the understanding and treatment of urological conditions. He offers private services at HCA The Harborne Hospital and The Priory Hospital, Birmingham.

Research & Publications

After completing his Senior House Officer training Mr Simon Radley undertook a period of research into colorectal cancer and submitted a thesis for which he was awarded an MD by the University of Birmingham.

He has published widely on colorectal disease and in particular functional bowel disorders. He has written several book chapters.
